Sam is a graduate clinical trainee pursuing LPCC licensure and has over four years of experience working in the mental health field across a variety of settings, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), outpatient mental health, and children’s mental health day treatment. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents and provides therapy to clients ages 3 and up.
Sam works with a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, eating disorders, life transitions, and adolescents involved in the criminal justice system. She understands that every client’s story and therapeutic journey is unique, and she believes therapy is never a one-size-fits-all process. Sam takes an individualized approach to treatment, drawing from evidence-based and person-centered interventions based on each client’s needs, strengths, and goals. Her therapeutic approaches may include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered and Humanistic approaches, mindfulness techniques, and play therapy when developmentally appropriate. Sam is a warm, empathetic, and dedicated therapist who strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel seen, heard, supported, and accepted. She believes that building a genuine therapeutic relationship is an important part of the healing process and takes time to understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Sam works collaboratively with clients to support meaningful growth and healing at their own pace, recognizing that there is no set timeline for therapeutic healing.
