Alethia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has been in the mental health field for over 10 years. She has experience working in different therapeutic settings including in-home therapy, adolescent day treatment, in-school therapy, and outpatient therapy. She has expertise working with children, adolescents, and adults assessed with trauma, depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and life transitions.
Alethia believes that a strong therapeutic relationship with the client opens the door for progress in healing and connection. Alethia has intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Alethia has a holistic, strength-based, person-centered, and solution-focused approach to therapy. She uses interventions to best align progress with the focus of treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Alethia loves spending time with her family and two dogs in her free time. She also enjoys reading, singing, painting, traveling, cooking, crafts, and walking.
