Clare Beardsley, MA, LPCCLino Lakes / Telehealth |
Clare has been working in the mental health field for 8+ years. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and utilizes a wide variety of techniques to meet her client’s needs. Clare uses Art Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a trauma-informed framework, and a Person-Centered approach to work collaboratively with her clients.
As an art therapist, clients have the option to engage in creative techniques. No experience with art is required. Art therapy applies visual arts and the creative process to support, maintain, and enhance health. Like other forms of psychotherapy, art therapy encourages growth and self-awareness. Art therapy provides an alternative way of accessing and processing feelings that may be difficult to articulate. Clare has experience working with underserved populations, children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and individuals who have experienced trauma. Clare has also worked in a variety of settings including: school-based settings, settings with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, forensic psychology settings with adolescents involved in the legal system, and has 3 years of experience working in a community outpatient mental health setting. In her free time, Clare enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, exercising, and creating art.
