Jen is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has been working in the mental health field for the past 12 years. She works with individuals ages 18 and up. Jen focuses on utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy as well as weaving in psychoeducation and skills from other modalities that would be beneficial to meeting client needs. She has interest and experience in working with anxiety, attention and concentration issues, body image issues, depression, eating disorders, self-worth/self-esteem and stress.
Jen approaches her clients with warmth and compassion to create a space for them to feel safe opening up without fear of judgment while working through the challenges they are facing in their lives. She strives to meet each individual where they are at and develop treatment goals based on what the client believes will make positive changes for their lives. She believes that with the right amount of encouragement and support everyone is capable of making positive changes. When not doing therapy, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, watching them participate in their various activities. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out and reading.
