Lori's 30+ years of experience in the mental health field has been working with women's mental health, hoarding, gender identity issues, individuals living with mood disorders, thought disorders, weight related issues, along with self-esteem/self-care problems. She has worked in the criminal mental health court system and has experience working with individuals who are on probation and also struggling with mental health symptoms. Also in her career, Lori has worked with clients with developmental disabilities/lower cognitive functioning. She is experienced in working with chemical dependency and physical health disabilities. Lori's career has been with working with adults and is very open to working with youth.
Lori believes in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship as well as each individual having the power to heal themselves. She believes in a strength based, solution focused approach to therapy. She works with her clients to not only overcome their current circumstances, but to also develop tools and strategies that they can use moving forward in their lives. In her spare time, Lori enjoys practicing mindfulness and meditation, going to antique shows, art fairs, expanding her knowledge and ongoing self-improvement. She loves spending time with her cats, fishing and spending time with friends and family. Lori believes that everyone matters and deserves to live a life that fulfills them.
